Well, after watching hundreds of horses breeze a quarte, after looking at hundreds of horses walking up and down aisle ways, after listening to many consigners tell me their horse was the next Mine That Bird, I finally bought one horse for MOM Stable. By Afleet Alex, this late April colt will go to the farm to mature through the summer then come to me after growing into his long legs and lanky body. We have had a lot of luck the past few years buying horses from Niall and Stephanie Brennan. I have found them to be very honest and up front with all of their horses. That is not something always found at a 2-year-old in training sale. So Congratulation Rich and Frank. I think this is a nice addition to your stable.
The next sale coming up will be the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2-Year Olds In Training Sale at Timonium May 17.
We have a busy week coming up. On Thursday, Arnold Heft has favored Piney Point running in Pimlico’s opener and long shot Eighttofasttocatch making his 2010 debut in Aqueduct's seventh. MOM Stable has Derwin’s Pulpit making her 2010 debut in Pimlico’s fifth. And finally NRS Stable’s Love On A Wire will be making his 2010 debut also at Pimlico in the seventh race. Friday, Tim Hopkins’ Southern Twister will run in a very competitive $18,000 open claimer. Also on Friday, Louisa Laglass will try to break her maiden for Nancy Lee Farm in Penn National's opener. I should have a lot to write about by the weekend. On our way to 50!
